I’ve bought RTP over the last few years now, and buying one of Pei’s works of art and creation has always been a matter-of-fact decision that requires no hesitation on my part; the reason is simple: her pieces are always beautifully crafted and meticulously finished. I never have to worry about the quality of the items as I know that any and every purchase will be lovingly handmade and you will indeed get what you pay for.

Take the latest gamaguchis - I bought the tama and the hamagetsu - and they’re absolutely beautiful! The clasps are sturdy, the seams well-sewn and so much a part of the bag itself you’d never notice it, and the fabric is lovely and of great quality. If you’ve been thinking of getting a RTP piece, I highly recommend you to give these pieces a try - it’s so much more rewarding and meaningful buying from a local small business and you’ll never go back to mass production again!
